Description:
There is a window of opportunity for PrairiesCan to establish a long-term CED framework, given an anticipated influx of recovery funding, the establishment of a dedicated regional development agency for the prairies, the current socio-economic environment, and growing attention to cross-government approaches such as place-based decision making and the rural lens. The proposed research will ensure that a PrairiesCan CED framework will be developed with an appropriate depth of analysis and strategic alignment with evolving departmental priorities. PrairiesCan intends to award one (1) contract for the services to a Contractor with expertise in CED, research and analysis. This contract is focused on Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, and the Contractor must have a strong understanding of the prairies region’s CED landscape. The Contractor must also have a strong understanding of the CED landscape in international markets similar to the prairies or have existing resources (networks, databases, etc.) that they utilize for information
