Bidders' Conference: A bidders' conference call will be held on Tuesday August 9, 2022, at 2PM (EDT). To join the conference: - Toll-free dial-in number (Canada/US): 1-855-288-0982 or 1-855-244-8677 - Local dial-in number: 1-416-915-6530 - Attendee access code: 95230025 The scope of the requirement outlined in the bid solicitation will be reviewed during the conference and questions will be answered. It is recommended that bidders who intend to submit a bid attend or send a representative. Bidders are requested to communicate with the Contracting Authority before the conference to confirm attendance. Bidders should provide to the Contracting Authority, by email to Haitham.Abbas@pwgsc-tpsgc.gc.ca, the name(s) of the person(s) who will be attending no later than Moday August 8, 2022, at 4PM (EDT). Without confirmation, the bidders’ conference could be cancelled. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the bidders' conference will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation. Bidders who do not attend will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Site Visit - Vessel: Due to the ongoing and evolving COVID-19 outbreak, no site visit of the ship is planned for this requirement. Work Period: Commence: September 20, 2022 Complete: November 20, 2022 Additional Instructions to Work Period: From refit start date to the end of the work period, when the vessel will be unmanned during that period, it will be considered to be out of commission and it will be in the care and custody of the Contractor and under its control. Sourcing Strategy: The sourcing strategy related to this procurement will be limited to suppliers in Eastern Canada Region, in accordance with the Shipbuilding, Refit, Repair and Modernization Policy, and is subject to the Canadian Free Trade Agreement. This procurement is exempt from NAFTA [see Chapter 10, Annex 1001.2b, paragraph 1 (a)] and from the WTO-AGP (see Annex 4). The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
