Description:
Description of Work: The Business Analyst will be required to perform tasks that include, but are not limited to, the following: Document the project scope, objectives, added value, benefit expectations and requirements, using an integrated set of techniques, such as use cases, user stories, modeling, etc. Develop option analysis of IM/IT solutions against requirements, provide preliminary cost estimates of potential options, develop recommendations/business cases that include a detailed comparison of the options. Analyze and synthesize information obtained from a large number of stakeholders and other sources, such as processes, policies, documentation, legislation, requirements and/or organizational structure. Evaluate stakeholder's business needs, thus contributing to strategic planning of information systems and technology directions. Facilitate communication between the team members and organizational units, and/or vendors and third parties to gain consensus on scope, design decisions, and implementation decisions, including the preliminary user acceptance testing of new products and services. Analyze business functional requirements to identify information, business problem, procedures and decision flows that will impact the organization's operations. Write clear and concise epics and user stories with expected outcomes and acceptance criteria. Convert existing requirements to epics and user stories, when project phases shift from Waterfall to Agile methodology. Update and prioritize scrum artifacts including, but not limited to, the product backlog and sprint backlog by considering which features directly support the product vision, the release goal, and the sprint goal. Use Agile principles and methods for requirements gathering to develop and complete documentation depending on the need of the project. Support and enforce Scrum / Agile processes and other rules that the team has agreed upon. Active participation in all scrum events and any other project related meetings.
