By means of the RFP, Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) is seeking proposals from bidders for the following requirement: Advancing Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) in NRCan Grants and Contributions (G&Cs) Programs NRCan’s Grants and Contribution programs advance the departments’ mandate by incentivizing and resourcing industry and academic partners to pursue areas of work aligned with departmental policy and priorities. One of NRCan’s priorities is to foster inclusive growth in the sector and ensure that Canadians of all backgrounds are able to access opportunities to contribute to Canada’s energy transition. NRCan seeks expert support to strengthen how our grants and contribution programs address this priority by helping the department to: Better understand the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) data collected in the context of transfer payment programs; Evaluate practices and tools that could improve data collection; and, Identify practices to accelerate progress in incorporating EDI considerations in grants and contribution programs at NRCan. Through this project, program design, delivery and evaluation communities and leadership within NRCan will acquire knowledge to support program planning and delivery.
