Description:
Notice of Proposed Procurement This requirement is for Employment and Social Development Canada. Description of the requirement: The primary project objective is to provide clients with disabilities (Deaf or hard of hearing) who visit Service Canada Centres (SCC), on-demand and scheduled access to American Sign Language (ASL) and Langue des signes Québécoise (LSQ) interpretation services via a Video Remote Interpretation (VRI) service. VRI enables SCC staff to serve and communicate with the deaf or hard-of-hearing clients by offering them the option of using a qualified sign language interpreter service emotely from an on-location tablet provided by Service Canada. The VRI is provided and supported by the contractor. By offering sign language interpretation by VRI in each of its SCC location, Service Canada improves accessibility of its services to clients, and demonstrates its commitment to provide barrier-free services to Canadians. Proposed period of contract: The contract period will be form April 01, 2022 to March 31, 2025 with a possibility to extend the term of the Contract by up to three (3) additional one (1) year period under the same conditions.
