As automated vehicle technologies continue to advance, new tools and testing methodologies are being developed by industry to validate their safety, and scenarios are a fundamental part of this work. TC is seeking the assistance of external researchers to examine how scenarios are being used to assess Automated Driving System (ADS) safety globally and how validating ADS safety using scenarios can be adapted and applied to Canada’s driving environment and regulatory regime.
