Title: Airport Substation Replacement Location: Sandspit, BC Work Description: Public Services and Procurement Canada has a requirement for the replacement of the existing Airfield Unit Substation which serves Nav. Canada navigation equipment located on the airfield in Sandspit, BC. Work to be performed under this Contract includes, but is not limited to the following: * Provide and install a new Substation. * Provide and install a temporary generator at airfield substation location, including fuel, for the entire duration of the substation shutdown to ensure continuity of service to building navigation equipment. * Testing and installation of various feeder and transformer cables. * Test ground resistance of existing substation grounding system. * Install wood border frame and provide granular fill around new substation. * Test new substation using load bank to ensure fully operational prior to shut down of temporary facilities. * Shut down generator and remove temporary power connections. * Energize and commission new substation. Site Visit: There is no site visit scheduled for this solicitation. Delivery Date: The Contractor must perform and complete the Work within 22 weeks from the date of notification of acceptance of the offer. Value of Project: To assist with insurance and bonding requirements, this project is estimated to cost between $100,001 and $500,000.
