Description:
The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Medical Center (FMC) in Lexington, Kentucky, intends to solicit for the provision of Laboratory Director Services for the College of American Pathologist (CAP) Accredited Clinical Laboratory at the Federal Medical Center (FMC) located in Lexington, Kentucky. The successful contractor will be responsible for Services provided under this contract will include on-site consulting services of a Laboratory Director as defined by the CAP. Remote consulting due to COVID-19 concerns will be permitted only if they will meet CAP requirements and are considered adequate by the laboratory administration and medical staff. The estimated Laboratory Director requirement will consist of 12 visits per year, executed as one visit per month. A visit will last approximately one to two hours in duration. Generally, visits will be scheduled between the hours of 7:00 am and 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal Holidays. The Government contemplates awarding an indefinite-delivery, requirements type contract consisting of a 12-month base period with four 12-month option periods for renewal. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 621511 (Size Standard: $32.5 million). This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The solicitation will be made available on or about June 16, 2022, and will be distributed solely through this website. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. All future information regarding this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is July 5, 2022.
