Description:
1. Notice of intent to extend services. This action may result in a modification to the current task order FA255020F0006, Cyber Defense Engineering and Training II (CDET II), contractor Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation, 7575 Colshire Dr, McLean VA 22102-7508, for a period of up to six months. The period of possible extension being considered is from 30 Nov 2021 through 30 May 2022. This extension would be made in accordance with the IDIQ contract FA8732-15-D-0046, at clause "Option to Extend Services." 2. Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation is considered to be the only responsible offeror for extension of the services, as the Government would experience unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirements if a new offeror were to be selected in the time remaining before the end of the current CDET II option. 3. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.207(c)(16), all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. 4. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred by interested parties in preparation of information or documents related to this extension. A determination by the Government to extend these services and not to compete this proposed contract extension, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to extend these services. Any responses to this notice of contract action shall be submitted to: Stephen Cooper, Contracting Officer, at stephen.cooper.1@spaceforce.mil. Do not send any classified information. 5. Space Acquisition Management-Delta, Schriever Contracts Division, 210 Falcon Parkway Suite 2116, Schriever SFB, plans to award a six-month extension of the task order FA255020F0006 due the need to provide for the performance of Phase-In requirements under the follow-on acquisition CDET 3, awarded 28 Sep 2021 to Deloitte Consulting LLP. In addition, a post award protest of the award to the GAO of the CDET 3 task order has been received and a Stop Work order has been issued to Deloitte Consulting LLP, effective 14 Oct 2021. Therefore, an extension to the task order FA255020F0006 is considered to be necessary for ensuring continuity of essential services until such time as the protest is resolved and the Phase-In of CDET 3 has been completed. 6. Place of Task Order Performance. Schriever Space Force Base (SFB), Peterson SFB, Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station (SFS), and Buckley SFB, Colorado; Vandenberg SFB, California; Kirtland AFB, New Mexico; and Patrick SFB/Cape Canaveral SFS, Florida.
