Posting: Notice of Intent Title: Distinctive Currency Paper for Security Feature Development Solicitation No: 2031ZA22Q00009 PSC: 9310 NAICS: 322121 IGE: $730,800.00 Contractor: Crane Currency NOTICE OF INTENT to Award Sole Source for Distinctive Currency Paper for Security Feature Development THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) Office of the Chief Procurement Officer (OCPO) on behalf of its Office of Technology Development (OTD) intends to award a sole source contract for the manufacture and supply of distinctive currency paper for security feature technology development at the BEP. The anticipated contract type will be a firm fixed price contract and awarded to: Crane Currency 30 South Street Dalton, MA 01226 Cage Code: 16606 DUNS: 002067155 The Government intends to award a sole source contract item peculiar to one manufacturer utilizing “Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements” IAW FAR Subpart 6.302-(a)(1). The BEP has a requirement to establish a contract for distinctive currency paper to support the security feature technology development process. There is an ongoing effort to further the security feature technology with US exclusive effects and unique physical properties suitable to the needs of the BEP and the United States Currency Program (USCP). This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive offers/quotes/proposals. A determination not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The solicitation will not be posted. To be considered, responses MUST be received NO LATER THAN 12:00PM, EASTERN STANDARD TIME, November 4, 2021. Additionally, interested sources must be registered and currently active in the System for Award Management (SAM), found at https://www.sam.gov. Responses MUST be submitted within the closing date/time of publication of this notice.
