PRESOLICITATION NOTICE This document serves as notification of an upcoming solicitation. The VA Loma Linda Healthcare System located at 11201 Benton Street, Loma Linda, CA 92357 has a requirement to replace the emergency (equipment branch) power and main switchgear to support hospital equipment in emergency situations. Fire life safety and critical branch systems will remain as is supported by the existing 2000 kW, 480/277V, 3 phase, 4 wire emergency generators on campus.Work will be performed in a functioning hospital environment. Contractor shall furnish all supervision, tools, labor, training, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary to accomplish the work. The work includes, but is not limited to general construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, utility systems, necessary demolition and removal of existing structures and certain other items necessary for completion. All work shall be performed in strict accordance with the terms, conditions, specifications and drawings (when available) of the solicitation and all applicable local and VA building codes. This project will be procured as 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and must be listed as verified in the Vendor Information Pages (VIP) database at https://www.vip.vetbiz.va.gov/. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) used for this requirement is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction with a Size Standard of $39.5M. The magnitude of this construction project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The VA will issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) on or about June 1, 2022 or sooner via Contract Opportunities at https://beta.sam.gov/. A site visit will be scheduled, and the date/time/location will be provided in the solicitation.
