Description:
This Solicitation is being posted pending availability of funds: 52.232-18 -- Availability of Funds. (Apr 1984) Funds are not presently available for this contract. The Government’s obligation under this contract is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment for contract purposes can be made. No legal liability on the part of the Government for any payment may arise until funds are made available to the Contracting Officer for this contract and until the Contractor receives notice of such availability, to be confirmed in writing by the Contracting Officer. (End of Clause) The project consists of a base and one option. Base project work involves maintenance dredging of the Kings Bay Entrance Channel Cut-1N through Range-E. The excavated material will be distributed among the Fernandina Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site (ODMDS)(D/A-O), the Fernandina Nearshore Disposal Area (D/A-N) and North Beach Disposal Area (D/A-NB). Incidental work includes turbidity monitoring, environmental species monitoring, vibration monitoring, beach fill quality control, and sea turtle trawling. Option A includes tilling and escarpment removal at Fort Clinch (D/A-F) Disposal Area beach portion only, not groin areas. This project requires the use of a Coast Guard Certified hopper dredge due the requirement of material being disposed of in an Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site. Base - Work consists of estimated 1,101,500 CY maintenance dredging of the Kings Bay Entrance Channel Cut-1N through Range-E. Option A - Work consists of estimated 5 acres tilling and escarpment removal at Fort Clinch (D/A-F) Disposal Area beach portion only, not groin areas. PROPOSAL REQUIREMENTS: The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued on or about September 3, 2021 and bids will be due on or about October 29, 2021 NAICS Code 237990, size standard $30.0 million. Magnitude of construction is between $15,000,000 and $20,000,000. The Estimated Period of Performance is 160 calendar days after issuance of Notice to Proceed (NTP). The stated time is inclusive of 45 calendar days to commence work. THIS IS UNRESTRICTED.
