Original Set Aside:

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - St. Paul District seeks a contractor to perform planned maintenance, repairs, refitting services, and unplanned repairs for vessels owned and operated by the District. The St. Paul District currently operates more than 24 vessels, ranging in size from the Dredge Goetz (730 Long Tons, 200' in length) to Anchorage Barges (30 long tons, 54' in length). Vessels included powered push boats and unpowered barges, ranging in age from 12 to 89 years. Details on vessels are included in Attachment A - Plant Cards. The purpose of this agreement is to provide periodic dry-dock maintenance, refitting, and inspections of District vessels at regular intervals, and to provide priority access to dry-dock facilities when unplanned repairs are required. The services required for each vessel will be specifically described in each task order. The Government shall enter into a Master Ship Repair Agreement (MSRA) with all firms that are determined to be competent and responsible. Firms entering into MSRA shall provide the Government a sumary of their capabilities, including, but not limited to: quantity and lift capacity of dry dock(s) [dimensions and tonnage], quantity and capacity of cranes, specialized work (e.g. wheel machining), and qualifications of key personnel. This solicitation is a Request for Proposal (RFP). Please see the "Submittal Instructions" (page 5).
