Original Set Aside:

Synopsis- Notice of Intent to Sole Source The purpose of this synopsis is to announce the Veterans Affairs Department of Veterans Affairs, Technology Acquisition Center intent to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price sole source contract with Medicom Technologies, Inc. (Medicom), 434 Fayetteville St. Ste 1650, Raleigh, NC 27601for additional Medicom Software Licenses and Support for the South Texas Veterans Health Care System (STVHCS) to expand its current Medicom server installation. Medicom Software provides a system which enables electronic, bi-directional exchange of radiology imaging exams and reports with commercial healthcare facilities providing services to VA patients. The Government intends to negotiate solely with Medicom per FAR 6.302-1 entitled, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Medicom is a proprietary system and only Medicom software licenses and support will interoperate with the current STVHCS installation as Medicom shares images through a proprietary system. Currently, VA utilizes Medicom to receive radiology images, but require new licenses so VA may share images with external providers. Use of any other system, would require VA to reprocure and reconfigure a new radiology sharing system. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 511210, with a size standard of $41.5 million. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotations. However, responses received by 11/05/2021 3:00 PM eastern time will be considered.
