Description:
This notice is for Solicitation Number 36C24221B0069, Project Number 526-18-103 Replace Exterior Windows, Phase 1 at James J. Peters VAMC, 130 West Kingsbridge Road, Bronx, NY 10468-3904. This shall be a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB)Set-Aside. As a result, all SDVOSBs may submit a bid, which will be considered by the agency. This project is classified under NAICS Code 236220 and has a size standard of $39.5 Million. The cost estimate range for this project is between $5,000,000.00 to $10,000,000.00. Scope of Work: This project will replace existing exterior windows located at the James J. Peters/Bronx VA Medical Center for the purpose of creating a new energy efficient, green initiative and LEED atmosphere. This replacement will address (but not limited to) the following: An all-energy efficient and environmental concept which has become a standard design protocol for federal facilities throughout the United States. The design will include a collaborative design that is aesthetic, energy efficient, cost effective and comprehensive for the modern work and health care environment. The construction services will include but not limited to the following: • Fall Protection Qualified Person • Fall Protection Qualified Person OT • Side Light Windows • W1 & W2 Windows Referencing the scope above, the construction contractor shall continue to make an on-site inspection of all areas within the scope of the project to familiarize themselves with the ongoing conditions. The construction contractor shall re-verify all dimensions (as necessary) including re-verification of drawings and information furnished by the AE and by the VA. When an installed equipment or any installation is in the way of the window removal and replacement /installation, the contractor is responsible to hire certified installer to remove, install and certified those equipments so the VA do not lose the equipment in question’s warranty. This will be done at no cost to the VA. Project Completion: The contract duration is 726 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. All other details and information shall be contained in the solicitation which shall be posted on https://beta.sam.gov/. The solicitation will be released on or about December 31, 2021. The response submittal address, date and time will be included in the solicitation. This project requires bonding and all responses/submissions to the solicitation to be posted later shall be in hardcopies. Faxed or e-mailed bids will not be accepted. All prospective bidders must be currently registered in www.sam.gov , www.dnb.com (Duns and Bradstreet)and be registered and verified as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB)in www.vip.vetbiz.gov at the time of offer submission and before award of this procurement. This presolicitation notice is not an invitation to submit a bid. If any SDVOSB is interested, submit your firms capability statement by the due date for this presolicitation. End of Description.
