Description:

Original Set Aside:

The purpose of the USAID/Zambia Program for Advancing Supply Chain Outcomes (PASCO) is to ensure sustainable access to safe, effective, quality-assured, affordable lifesaving health commodities by strengthening the capacity for transportation and distribution systems, including participation of locally owned Zambian logistics organizations. It has two objectives: Objective 1: Improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the distribution and transportation system by responding to the needs of the Zambian Government through the Zambia Medicines and Medical Supplies Agency (ZAMMSA) to deliver commodities from the central medical stores Lusaka distribution center to regional hubs and Service Delivery Points (SDP) according to ZAMMSA’s delivery cycle schedules. Objective 2. Ensure the safe pick-up, transport, and arrival of commodities by providing appropriate control mechanisms and putting in place tools and processes that will prevent leakage, diversion, and detect possible theft throughout the geographic areas covered.
