Description:

Original Set Aside:

The Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) intends to issue a competitive procurement, utilizing Full & Open procedures to procure generators sets for the LCC 19. It is anticipated that the subsequent award will be issued as a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract type, with a First Article Test (for shock testing) and options for the production units, with delivery of the production unit generator sets to start in April 2025. The successful contractor shall provide a quantity of three (3) Ship Service Diesel Generators to serve as a replacement of the legacy diesel generator sets currently installed on the LCC 19 ship. Replacements should be shock qualified, brushless replacements that will give the ship a low maintenance and reliable electric plant to support the remainder of the service life for the LCC. The generator sets shall comply with the ABS NVR as pertaining to MIL-G-21296 and the requirements of this specification. This specification establishes requirements for generator sets intended for U.S. Navy shipboard applications. Each new diesel generator shall be able to provide at least 2000 kW (electrical) at 450 VAC, 60 Hz, 0.8 power factor, when operating continuously. The goal is to have three (3) units delivered in FY25 to support installation during LCC 19 availability starting April 2025.
