The project consists of constructing a new Wetland area, and enhancing adjacent existing degraded marshland on the Alameda Point Campus site in Alameda County, CA. The 2018 Alameda Basis of Design Report determined that the need for Onsite Wetlands Mitigation was a result of unavoidable fill to the existing wetlands in the Alameda Point area. The new wetland area will consist of both a tidal basin and tidal marsh enhancement area. Construction of the tidal basin includes, but is not limited to, excavating to basin floor, grading of channels, and constructing a riprap and aggregate connection through the seawall.
