*** THIS IS A REQUEST FOR QUOTE UNDER SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION PROCEDURES *** The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Production andConservation - Acquisition Division intends to issue a Request for Quotes(RFQ) in accordance with FAR Part 13 on behalf of the USDA - Natural ResourceConservation Service (NRCS) Ohio State Office for work to be performed near Perry Township, Montgomery County, Ohio. The work shall consist of the clearing and removal of trees, snags, logs, brush, shrubs, stumps, and rubbish from and adjacent to Wolf Creek. 2209 linear ft. of channel clearing, debris removal, restoration of disturbed areas, and temporary site access improvements. Trees and other woody vegetation designated to remain undisturbed shall be protected from damage throughout the entire construction period. Clearing and removal of cleared materials shall be performed in a manner to minimize disturbance to standing trees/woody vegetation to remain, and land surface adjacent to cleared materials to be removed. All cleared woody vegetation shall be stockpiled at the staging and stockpiling site shown on the drawings. Material shall be chipped or ground before stockpiling. A site showing will be held on January 13, 2022 at 1:00PM. Attendees may meet at: 12116 Wolf Creek Pike Brookville, OH 45309 The site is access is 700 feet southwest off the road, traveling on a gravel access lane from this address. Interested contractors must be registered in and must complete the annual representations and certifications electronically via the System for Award Management (SAM) at http://www.sam.gov in order to be eligible for award. This opportunity will be a Total Small Business set-aside. A firm fixed price construction contract is anticipated under Simplified Acquisition Procedures in FAR Part 13. Payment Bond (SF-25A), Irrevocable Letter of Credit (ILC), or a Tripartite Escrow Agreement in the amount of 100% of the project cost will be required within 10calendar days of award of the contract. The anticipated period of performance for this project is 21 calendar days fromthe date the contractor receives the Notice to Proceed (NTP). In accordance with FAR 36.204, the estimated magnitude of the project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The NAICS code for this solicitation is 237990,Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction.
