Subject: Award a Sole Source Contract to Pickett Brass, LLC FAR 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source (except brand name) The United States Military Academy (USMA) – Band and Mission & Installation Contracting Command (MICC) at West Point, NY award a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements to procure eight (8) Blackburn Ambronze A24 bells (Bugle). This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 5.101(a)(1) requiring the dissemination of information on proposed contract actions. This is a notice of intent to award a sole-source contract, and is not a request for competitive proposals. The proposed contract is for Pickett Brass, LLC The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), pursuant to the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. The Mission Installation Contracting Command - West Point on behalf of the United States Military Academy (USMA) – Band intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price contract to (Pickett Brass, LLC; Lexington, KY 40502-1402) for eight (8) Blackburn Ambronze A21 bells. The anticipated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 339992 with the associated size standard of 1,000 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to meet all aspects of the requirement. Responses should be addressed to, Ms. Dayanna De la Cruz Cuello at Dayanna.delacruzcuello.civ@army.mil no later than 1500 hrs. EDT on Wednesday, 19 January 2022. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
