Original Set Aside:

Strategic Systems Programs intends to enter into negotiations on a sole source basis with Trident Reasearch, LLC, 2809 Longhorn BLVD, Austin, TX 78758-7623 for the management and performance of follow-on engineering services support for U.S. Navy SSP-owned Flight Test Instrumentation (FTI) system operated in support of SSP Trident II Flight Tests. The work will include planning, maintaining, operating, sustaining, and providing logistics support and life cycle management for the unmanned FTI system to ensure the highest availability and maximize the data collected during flight tests; as well as FTI data acquisition, and post-mission processing and analysis of data collected by the FTI system during flight test mission support. Additional scope includes providing Strategic Weapons Systems (SWS) training program support; operation of the FTI system in support of flight tests other than Trident II missions; and implementation of FTI system refresh. This synopsis is for information purposes only. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302.
