THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE/PROPOSAL - The Defense Health Agency (DHA) National Capital Region-Contracting Division (NCR-CD) on behalf of Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) Joint Pathology Center (JPC), intends to award a firm fixed price follow on contract on a sole source basis to Distinctive Home Care, Inc., 9500 Arena Drive, Suite 105, Largo MD 20774-3703. The current contract, HT001416C0010 will be expiring; therefore, the follow on contract will ensure no interruption in services. The period of performance for the follow on contract shall be for two months. The anticipated award will be made under the statutory authority permitting Other than Full and Open Competition, FAR 13.106-1(b), soliciting from a single source. The contract is intended to meet the JPC's requirement for Histopathology Technologist (Level III) and Clinical Chemist (Inorganic Analytical Chemist) Support Services while NCR-CD completes the follow on award. The NAICS code for this requirement is 621511 - Medical Laboratories, with a size standard of $35 million. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotations.
