Please see attached Q&A document, dated 05/23/2022. --------------------------- This announcement constitutes a Request for Proposal (RFP) in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Parts 12 and 15. This procurement will be conducted as a SDVOSB Set-aside under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 541715. The solicitation and its attachments are attached to this notice. Please note that all RFP, amendment(s) and/or publicly releasable documentation will be posted to Contract Opportunities at www.sam.gov. It is recommended that interested offerors check the site frequently for any updates. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued, and may be accessed electronically only. Offerors are responsible for routinely checking Contract Opportunities for any possible solicitation amendments that may be issued. Questions concerning this solicitation should be addressed to the Points of Contact listed within 10 calendar days from the solicitation issue date. Marine Meteorology Division (MMD), located at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) in Monterey, CA, requires the professional Information Technology (IT) and Engineering Technical Support and System Administration services to support a broadly based multidisciplinary program of scientific research and advanced technological development directed toward environment information superiority for the Navy/Marine Corps and DoD. NRL MMD utilizes a variety of IT resources such as computers, storage, and network hardware and software systems to support and meet its diverse research goals. Many research projects require and acquire dedicated project IT resources, and the Division provides the enterprise level local area network, Internet access, email, printing, administrative and financial software applications, high performance computer (HPC) systems, storage, and backup and recovery infrastructure that meets the majority of user needs, in addition to hosting and servicing the dedicated project resources. Under this requirement, the contractor shall provide the following tasks in a highly complex R&D environment: System Administration and User Support Network Administration Information Assurance Research & Development Support Program Management NRL intends to negotiate an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract utilizing the procedures of FAR Part 12 and 15, and as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses Set-Aside. The resulting first Task Order from the IDIQ contract will be Time & Materials (T&M) contract.
