SPECIAL NOTICE -- INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE MICC-West Point intends to award a sole source contract under statutory authority 10USC 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1: "Only one responsible source and no other supplies / services will satisfy the agency’s requirements." This is not a Request for Quotes nor a Solicitation for Offers. No solicitation package will be available. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Ealing/HYLAND OPTICAL TECHNOLOGIES, 340 El Pueblo Road, Suite E Scotts Valley, CA 95066-4945, to procure HeNe laser tube, HeNe laser power supply, and HeNe laser cable manufactured, currentlyowned Ealing/HYLAND OPTICAL TECHNOLOGIES products which are the only products provides combatabilty and uniform testing results across the West Point's Physics & Nuclear Engineering Educational Lab. The Applicable NAICS code is 334519, Other measuring and controlling devices Manufacturing, the associated size standard of less than 500 employees. The PSC is 6640, Laboratory equipment and supplies. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any responsible source that believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency, only if received by the closing date and time of this notice. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All questions, comments, or documents must be sent to sonya.d.vanvalkenburg.civ@army.mil by no later than the closing date of this notice on December 22,2021 @1200 hours EST.
