Description:
The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Corona Division (Corona Division) intends to solicit and award a Cost-Plus-Fixed Fee, Level-of-Effort "bridge" contract for continued engineering support services to the Naval Systems Engineering Directorate, SEA 05, for ships, ships systems, warfare systems, and sensors in the Ship Design Engineering, and Integration Support for Amphibious and Auxiliary Ships technical area. This "bridge" contract will be awarded on a sole source basis to the incumbent, CACI, Inc., 14370 Newbrook Dr., Chantily, VA 20151, currently performs this effort under Contract No. N00178-04-D-4030/N00024-17-F-3005. The anticipated period of performance will span a total of up to seventeen (17) months, which include an eleven (11) month base period and one (1) six (6) month option period. Corona Division intends to procure the required "bridge" contract services under the statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. CACI, Inc. is the only source capable of providing these highly specialized services until the competitive follow-on Task Order is awarded. In accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(B), award to any other source would result in unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirements. This "bridge" contract is required to provide for continued service in support of U.S. Navy mission requirements until Task Order award is made under Corona Division competitive Solicitation No. N6426722R0010. *** NOTE: Vendors interested in accessing the attached Draft Statement of Work shall contact the procurement specialist identified below. Vendors are required to submit a valid "Technical Data Agreement" (DD From 2345) as a condition of accessing the attachment. Requests submitted without valid DD Form 2345 will not be considered. ***
