Original Set Aside:

This contract is for furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, supervision, supplies, and perform all work required to mow 609 acres, in accordance with specifications and provisions of the contract. The Government will furnish no materials, labor, or equipment. The area to be mowed is within the boundaries of the Apalachicola National Forest; Leon and Liberty Counties, Florida (see attached maps). The objective for this project is to release planted pines and native groundcover from competition. This project is part of the restoration of Longleaf Pine ecosystems on the Apalachicola National Forest. See attached Statement of Work (SOW) and maps for full description. * A formal site visit is not planned. Some of the roads are accessible on system roads open to the public, and others are official use only roads. Evaluating the areas for a contract bid may be official use, provided the contractor has a copy of the project solicitation (paper or digital) with them. Do not believe there are any locked gates in the project area. Do not go through locked gates. * Amendment #A00001 - corrects acres to be treated in three units. The new schedule is included in the attached SF-30 amendment.
