Description:

Original Set Aside:

The purpose for this amendment is to remove FAR clause 52.223-99. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged; the due date for proposals is not extended. *********************************************************************************************************************************************** This requirement is to provide enhanced training focused on self-care, individual safety, and security of Public Health Service Commissioned Corps (PHSCC) Officers during a time of increased exposure to the COVID-19 virus and deployments to support immigration and refugee activities. This requirement is to provide a comprehensive training program aimed at developing the individual skills and mentality PHS officers require for their personal safety while deployed to environments where their personal health is threatened. This training is essential in mitigating the risk of COVID-19 infection to PHS officers as new variants of the virus become more transmissible and the number of hospitalizations and deaths are exponentially on the rise. This training instills in the safety consciousness required by PHS officers as they deploy to assist with the response to increased migration into the U.S. and are likely to be exposed to infectious diseases such as tuberculosis, cholera, malaria, hepatitis, and others. This procurement is for the acquisition of commercial services being conducted under FAR Part 15 procedures. This is a sole source requirement to the University of Nebraska Medical Center (DUNS # 168559177).
