FBO Post Title: NSN: 5998-01-335-9336FX, Main Interconnect Circuit Card Assembly SUBJECT: Market research is being conducted to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for qualification and production of the Main Interconnect Circuit Card Assembly, NSN: 5998-01-335-9336FX, PN: 114150-19B. ITEM DESCRIPTION The Main Interconnect Assembly is installed on the F-15E Multi-Purpose Display (MPD); the MPD is considered the Next Higher Assembly. The Main Interconnect Assembly, NSN: 5998-01-335-9336FX is a cable assembly that interconnects all of the circuit card assemblies throughout the chassis of MPD. The MPD is mission critical and must be operational for the aircraft to be fully mission capable as it provides the pilot with visual representation of flight, navigation, attack, target, weapon, and advisory data. The MPD itself is currently non-procurable due to obsolescence. Lack of spare Main Interconnect Circuit Card Assemblies will inhibit repair of the MPD which is already affected by obsolescence. Failure to execute these missions inhibits the achievement of critical military objectives around the world. Impediment to Competition: The original equipment manufacturer for this item is Collins Aerospace, CAGE: 09344 (formally known as Rockwell Collins). Collins Aerospace maintains its configuration by part number and software version. The Government does not own any data, drawings, schematics, or any other releasable technical data in support of this requirement. As a result, Collins Aerospace is the only known source with adequate knowledge of the Main Interconnect Circuit Card Assembly’s performance requirements and possession of the required technical data and capabilities needed to produce this item and ensure compatibility of the equipment. INTEREST The DLA/AWB Contracting Office intends to award a sole source contract to Collins Aerospace for the manufacture of the Main Interconnect Circuit Card Assembly in support of the F-15E Multi-Purpose Display. Other interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than Insert SSS closing date by emailing insert your name and email address here and/or dla.dlr.proc@us.af.mil. The Government intends to procure these items using Other Than Full and Open Competition as prescribed by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
