Fiscal Service Procurement on behalf of the Armed Forces Retirement Home - Washington, D.C. (AFRH-W) intends to award to Davey Tree Experts Company, PO Box 5193, Kent, OH 44240-5193 on a Sole Source basis for Grounds Maintenance and Snow Removal. The Armed Forces Retirement Home – Washington, D.C. (AFRH-W) has the need for a Contractor to provide grounds maintenance and snow removal services. The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment tools, supervision, and other items and services necessary to ensure that grounds maintenance is performed at the AFRH-W in a manner that will maintain healthy grass, trees, shrubs, and plants and present a clean, neat, and professional appearance. Snow removal services will also be required. The Bureau of the Fiscal Service is creating a bridge contract for Davey Tree Experts Company to provide grounds maintenance and snow removal services for the AFRH. By awarding a bridge contract, this will allow Fiscal Service to properly solicit vendors for grounds maintenance and snow removal services. Also, the bridge contract will provide AFRH with the necessary snow removal services they require to get through the winter months. Fiscal Service/AFRH-W will consider affirmative responses received no later than January 28, 2022 at 10:00am ET. Offerors shall respond to this notice if they believe they can provide AFRH-W the same services as mentioned above. Responses shall include the name and point of contact information for its company along with a description of the services. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Please note that the General Services Administration provides the notification service as a convenience and does not guarantee that notifications will be received by all persons on the mailing list. Therefore, we recommend that you monitor the beta.sam.gov website for all information relevant to desired acquisitions.
