Army Contracting Command - Sierra Army Depot is issuing a pre-solicitation notice for a firm fixed price purchase order for Angular Steel Grit LG 40 Blasting Media product that will be used in a sandblasting operation at Sierra Army Depot (SIAD). The Steel Grit, size 40, must be angular to be reused in a media reclamation system. The shot tolerance is a minimum of 70% with screen openings 0.0165 – 0.425 in - mm. Angular Steel Grit Blasting Media LG40 SAE Size Number: G40 Screen Number: 40 SAE J444 Shot Tolerances: 70% Minimum Screen Opening – 0.0165 - 0.425 in - mm One 55-Gallon Drum = 1,700 pounds. 60 Drums = 102,000 pounds. This is not a request for competitive quotes at this time. The solicitation requirement and contract documents to include instructions for submission and response date will be available on or about 14 February 2022.
