Original Set Aside:

ARL/PSU will provide non-proprietary Research and Development (R&D), test and evaluation, systems engineering, and other engineering capabilities in support of U. S. Army Task Order requirements under this IDIQ. Some past areas of research and development support to the U. S. Army includes (but is not limited to): Logistics: R&D will include research to improve, modify, integrate, or select U. S. Army logistics systems. Current efforts include maintaining a copy of the U.S. Army’s enterprise resource planning system (Global Combat Support System – Army (GCSS-Army)) in order to provide the stated services. ARL/PSU is also a leader across the Department of Defense in all aspects of innovative maintenance management, including Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) and Predictive & Prognostic Maintenance (PPMx) from sensor development through data analysis. ARL/PSU continues research in innovative maintenance/repair technologies including additive manufacturing, laser welding and cold spray. Electronic Maneuver Warfare/Radio Frequency: ARL/PSU has developed innovative EMW systems that have been deployed and proven effective for other services. Additionally, ARL/PSU has contributed to Ionosphere communications research with the U.S. Military Academy. Finally, the ARL/PSU anechoic chamber is regularly used for testing which would not be possible elsewhere.
