Description:
AMENDMENT – ADJUST TO PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE BASED ON PARTS AVAILABILITY AND SHIP SAILING SCHEDULE. OPTION CLIN ADDED IF WORK REQUIRED TO BE COMPLETED AT A LATER DATE. Combined Synopsis/Solicitation (Best Value) The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Office of Marine and Aviation Operations/Marine Operations Center – Pacific requires repair to the STBD Knuckleboom Crane on the NOAA ship Bell Shimada. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) Solicitation number has not yet been assigned. This is a firm fixed price, commercial, request for quotation (RFQ). (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2022-03. (iv) The NAICS code for this acquisition is 336611, Ship Repair and Maintenance. This is a small business set aside for companies with less than 1250 employees. (v) Line items are as follows: CLIN 1: Repair and testing of the STBD Knuckleboom Crane in accordance with the Statement of Work. CLIN 2: Optional for follow-on work as required due to ship’s schedule and parts availability. (vi) Description of requirements for the items to be acquired: The NOAA ship Shimada requires repair to the Knuckleboom crane in accordance with the attached SOW. This is an urgent requirement, so the solicitation period has been expedited to allows work to begin next week to meet the ship’s anticipated sailing date. Reference material is available upon request. (vii) Date(s) and place(s) of delivery and acceptance. Delivery Date: Completed by 1/28/22 to meet ship’s sailing schedule. If ship is delayed in departure, work should be continued until completion or ship’s departure. If ship must depart before work is completed, follow-on work may need to be completed at a later date.
