Rigaku X-Ray Tube NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE The solicitation number is FA8601-22-Q-0033. The NAICS Code is 334516 -- Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing. The Government (AFLCMC/PZIBB) intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). The proposed source is “Rigaku Americas Corporation.” The commercial product being procured is “A replacement n X-Ray Tube (Component #1012434) for its Government-owned Rigaku Super Mini 200 X-Ray Machine” for use at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California. This notice is being published for informational purposes only, and is not a request for competitive quotations; however, any quotations received by the response date specified in this notice may be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. Quotations should be e-mailed Mr. Steven Calhoun by 1:00 P.M. Eastern Time on 28 January 2022. Any questions should be directed to Steven Calhoun by e-mail at steven.calhoun.4@us.af.mil. Be advised that all correspondence sent via e-mail must contain the subject line: “Solicitation No. FA6801-22-Q-0033, X-Ray Tube” The entire quotation must be contained in a single e-mail that does not exceed 5 megabytes including attachments, if any. E-mails with compressed files are not permitted. Note that e-mail filters at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB) are designed to filter e-mails without subject lines or with suspicious subject lines or contents (i.e., .exe or .zip files). Therefore, if the specified subject line is not included, the e-mail may not get through the e-mail filters. Also be advised that .zip or .exe files are not allowable attachments and may be deleted by the email filters at WPAFB.
