Description:
Expression of Interest Sought The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) currently occupies 13,496 Rental Square Feet (RSF) of medical space in a building under lease in Rome, GA. The current lease expires September 30, 2022; and as a result, the Government intends to award a long-term sole source lease. The following is the delineated area: NORTH: J.D.H. Dr SOUTH: Coventry Dr SE EAST: Chulio Rd SE WEST: Rockmart Rd S Note: Building cannot be within a 100-year flood plain. The Government seeks to lease approximately 13,496 Rentable Square Feet (RSF) / 9,997 Net Usable Square Feet (NUSF) of medical space. The lease term requirement is ten (10) years; five (5) firm, five (5) non-firm years. The space must be available for occupancy by October 1, 2022. This requirement is for a fully-service lease (all utility, services, maintenance costs included in rent). The Government is interested in considering alternative space if economically advantageous. In addition, the Government will consider among other things, relocation costs, including the physical move and the voice and data systems move, when deciding whether it should relocate or pursue a sole-source acquisition. Expressions of interest must be submitted in writing and must include: building address; total RSF and NUSF. Note: NUSF square footage does not include areas such as stairs, elevators, mechanical and utility rooms, ducts, shafts, vestibules, public corridors, and public toilets required by local code. All interested parties should respond to this announcement no later than June 17, 2022, at 4:00 PM (Eastern).
